CARPET MOSAIC WORKSHOP - March 21-25
5 Days - 40 hours - now 660 Euro! (860 Euro)
The Carpet/Floor Mosaic Technique is an interesting subject that we can not cover in the Standard Intensive Course.

These techniques can be also used for tables, kitchens, bathrooms and any other mosaic to mount on smooth surfaces.

This year the price of the course is only 660 Euro per participant.

PROGRAMME OF THE MOSAIC CARPET/FLOOR WORKSHOP (5 Days)

MONDAY
Lecture on the most important techniques, antique and contemporary materials, where to find and how to use them.
Model choosing (25x25cm - 10"x10") - the subject is taken from an antique floor design.
Material arranging, tracing and cutting.

 TUESDAY
Theoretical lesson and practical training on the most common techniques used for large installations.
Theoretical lesson concerning glues, binders, etc.
Techniques to divide the mosaic in sections. Students work together to assemble a large floor mosaic. 
Every student will then create a single section (40x40cm - 16"x16").

 WEDNESDAY
Working on the individual section.

 THURSDAY
Working on the individual section.

 FRIDAY
Mosaic making using the reverse technique on paper.
Tour guide to the antique floor mosaics and, if possible, to see a large installation work in progress.
