Description of Workshop:

In this workshop we will teach a technique which has antique origins, currently used by many professional mosaicists.

The technique can be used for home & office furniture, decorative items, frames, small objects, and many other applications.

The goal of the course is not just to teach how to decorate small objects.

The same technique can be used for larger applications, such as fountains, sculptures, irregular walls, and any other three-dimensional project.

Students will have three options:

- they can prepare their own bases here in our studio. We will provide a polystyrene cube, and tools to carve it.

- they can bring the object to mosaic(*)

- they can use one of the pre-made bases provided by us (a number of objects are available in studio)

(*) maximum size of approx 20x20x30cm, 8"x8"x12". We recommend providing a photo in advance, in order to evaluate the level of difficulty.
